The order of consideration, reviewing and publishing of articles in the Journal (order of publishing)

1. Authors submit their articles to the Editorial Board of the Applied Legal Psychology Journal (hereinafter referred to as the Editorial Board and the Journal respectively) by e-mail: .

2. The Editorial Board contacts the author exclusively by the e-mail address provided by the author. The Editorial Board holds no responsibility for a wrong e-mail address given by the author and takes no further steps to contact the author.
In case when the author doesn’t respond more than one month to the Editorial Board’s requests, his or her article is not accepted to publication.

3. The term of the consideration of the article’s appropriateness for the Journal may not exceed 10 working days since the date of its submission into the Editorial Office.

4. The term of the reviewing (expertise) of the article for determining its scientific and methodological level as a rule doesn’t take more than 2 months since the date of its submission to the Editorial Office.

5. Articles are published in the order of their submission to the Editorial Office, determined by the article files.

6. The assessment of the compliance of the article with the requirements to articles submitted for publication in the Journal is carried out by the Editorial Board

7. Within 2 working days since the submission of the article the Editorial Board checks if the article conforms with the established publishing requirements and the thematic scope of the Journal.

8. The decision on the compliance of the article with the established publishing requirements is taken solely by the Editorial Board.

9. The decision on the compliance of the article with the thematic scope of the Journal is taken by the Chief Editor or his/her deputy at the request of the Editorial Board.

10. Articles that do not fully meet the requirements for publication are returned to authors for improvement within 2 working days since the decision.

11. Articles that are found inappropriate for the thematic scope are not returned to authors. The Editorial Board sends its substantiated refusal to publish the article to the author within 3 working days.  

12. Articles that are found appropriate for publishing are listed in the Articles Register where their submission date is always indicated. If the article was sent for improvement, its submission date is considered to be the date of its re-submission after such improvement.

13. The Editorial Board carries out using software tools a copyright and related rights test of the article within 8 days since the decision of its appropriateness for publishing including the articles that passed the reviewing procedure.

14. As a general rule the article is published in the Journal if it has more than 80% of the original text. In extraordinary cases the Chief Editor or his/her Deputy may resolve to accept an article with less than 80% of the original text taking into consideration the character of borrowings from different sources and the presence of links to the sources.

15. The articles that have less than 80% originality are returned to the authors for improvement within 2 working days since the copyright test.

16. The Editorial Board has the right to put the article into the article files without its reviewing if the article conforms with the established requirements for publication and its significance and quality are high enough for such assessment.

17. The article files contain the data of the article submission date, its author (authors), name and the reviewing (expertise) results.

18. All articles in the article files are alphabetized and divided into the following categories:
•    articles of Doctors of Sciences (one of the authors is a Doctor of Sciences)
•    articles of Candidates of Sciences (one of the authors is a Candidate of Sciences)
•    Articles of persons without academic degrees and ranks (all other articles)

19. A regular issue of the Journal is formed by the Executive Secretary of the Journal from articles in the article files, and as a general rule can’t contain more than 24 articles.

20. As a rule articles are published in the order of their submission to the Editorial Board. The order of publication of informational and other materials are determined by the Chief Editor or by his/her Deputy.

21. The following articles are published out of order:
•    articles of Doctors of Sciences
•    Any articles by the resolution of the Editorial Team or Editorial Board members approved by the Chief Editor or by his/her Deputy.

22. Publication of 2 or more articles of the same author in one issue is not permitted.

23. If the article files have 2 or more articles of the same author, one of which is approved for publication, the second one is published at the earliest in the next-nearest issue of the Journal. Articles of Doctors of Sciences or a series of articles on the same topic may be an exception.

24. The Editorial Board has the right to form its thematic issues without keeping the order of the articles publishing.

25. The content of a regular issue is formed by the executive secretary of the Editorial Board not later than one month before a scheduled date of its publication, it is approved by the Chief Editor or by his/her Deputy, and by the Editorial Board.

26. The content of a regular issue includes an explanatory note about the character of the articles in the issue, the system of headings, the information about the authors and the reviewing (expertise) results concerning each article.

27. Upon the approval of the content of an issue by the Chief Editor the addition of new articles is not permitted.
